A “gift” is something that is given to you and you do not need to pay for it. You cannot earn a gift. A gift is something that you do not expect because you do not deserve a gift.

A gift is given from someone who cares for you. God has created you and He cares for you without any performance conditions. You cannot make God not care for you. The Bible says that even while you are a sinner, God loves you and gave His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross as payment for the penalty of your sin.

This gift of payment for your sin, death on a cross, is completely free to you, but it cost God the perfect life of Jesus Christ.

At Christmas we receive gifts from loved ones and friends. To receive God’s Gift you must ask for forgiveness from your sin. In return God washes your sin away completely and you become as if you have never sinned, completely pure before God. What an amazing Gift. Will you receive God’s Gift right now?
