The term Son refers to Jesus Christ as the Son of God as well as the Son of Man. How can this be?

Jesus was born through a virgin, Mary, 2,000 years ago. Jesus was born to a human making Him a son of man allowing Him the ability to die a human death as payment for our sin.

Jesus was not born of the “seed” of man (virgin birth) which allowed Him to be born without the inbred sinful nature that is passed through by the man, Adam. Jesus’ birth was a miracle of God making Jesus the Son of God. God resided within Jesus in Spirit.

God uses the term “Son” to help us understand that Jesus was from Him in a way a son is from his father. We must also understand that Jesus is fully God except for the human shell of His body which He sacrificed on the cross as payment for all sin.
