Love is more interesting than most will understand. Please understand that infatuation is a feeling that can be strong now and nothing later. Love is a conscious decision a person makes regarding someone or something. The Greek language recognizes this fact and has three different terms for love.

When Jesus calls us to love one another He is calling us to choose to love one another with “brotherly love”. This love can be shallow like in loving mankind because they are God’s creation to a strong love like your love for a best friend. God loves us with an unconditional love known as an “agape love” in the Greek, the language of the New Testament. This means that God loves us and we cannot stop Him from loving us no matter what we do, good or bad. Love in a marriage is suppose to be this type of unconditional love. This is why marriage truly is a “Big Decision” for both the man and woman. Marriage is so important to God because marriage is an earthly mirror of His love for us.
